Yes, of course, but for safety sake we would recommend that you still order a stripped-down “standard” (shell scheme) stand from the organizers. Please see the “Exhibitors” page for a detailed explanation.

Do I have to use the staff provided by the organizers? We have our agent in Moscow and want to use him/her instead.
You are absolutely free to use your own staff (attendants, interpreters, cleaners etc.) at your stand. Please, however, remember to order extra exhibitor badges for them from the organizers. Free invitation tickets will not work as usually they are limited to only a few days of the show and your staff cannot enter the venue before the show opens to prepare the stand – they will have to wait for the main gates to open. Exhibitor’s badge allows you to access your stand at least an hour before the main gates are open for the public.

Transportation
Do we have to use the official forwarding agent of the show?
Can we ship our trade show goods to you so that you would deliver them to the show with the stand?

If you are planning to export the stand and the exhibits after the show, then you absolutely have to use the appointed official freight forwarder/customs agent of the show/exhibition. They are the only ones that can properly process your show cargo under the “temporary import” scheme that allows you not to pay full import and export taxes. They also possess a know-how that allows them to more or less guarantee that the cargo will not be late for the show. You can use your own transportation company, however you need to make sure that the shipment is addressed to the official forwarding agent of the show – otherwise it can not be processed properly. Before shipping anything to the show make sure to contact the official agent for advice.

Can we ship our trade show goods to you so that you would deliver them to the show with the stand?
No. We cannot guarantee that the goods will be duly processed by the customs by the time of the show. This can only be guaranteed (to a certain extent) by the official forwarding agent of the show. Besides, you will have to pay full import tax if you ship the goods to the addressee other than the show’s customs/forwarding agent.

What currency should I bring to Russia?
We strongly recommend you to bring international credit cards. You can pay with your credit card at the restaurant, at the hotel, at the venue. ATMs for cash are available all around Moscow. The ATMs are a guarantee that you will not be dealt counterfeit rubles. Please note that the amount you can withdraw daily is limited to approximately EUR440. You should have SOME cash on you for emergencies – euros are preferable. Note that foreign currencies are not accepted in shops, taxis and so on: you will have to exchange your currency to Rubles. Make sure that you use a proper exchange office, even if the exchange rate in the “kiosk on the corner” is higher – especially if it is a lot higher than the official exchange rate of the day.
When you are paying for the goods with your credit card make sure that the transaction is automated! DO NOT pay with your credit card where they use manual imprinters with carbon slips! DO NOT sign the slips that are not confirming your transaction but are offered to you as a “verification” or “withdrawal of wrong payment order”. If the card was stolen IMMEDIATELY notify your bank to block transactions on your card.

Help! My laptop/mobile phone/bag was stolen from my stand!
Unfortunately, nothing much can be done. While the bag with the documents will most probably turn up (without cash) at the organizers or security office, laptops and mobile phones as well as other valuable objects will vanish in the crowd without a trace. NEVER leave your wallet or mobile phone unattended. ALWAYS use security cable lock on your laptops. If your property was insured, you have to inform the organizers so that they would arrange for a stolen property certificate with the local police.

What is the voltage in Russia?
The regular voltage is 220V 50Hz. Please make sure to bring travel adaptors: Russia uses European (German) plugs with two round pins. While the UK and US adaptors may be available in Russia (but NOT necessarily at or around the venue), adaptors for Swiss plugs are inaccessible. Please make sure that your appliance can operate at 220V or it has to be switched to use this voltage or you need a converter from different voltage (110V).
